Jason Morahan - Owner, Real Space

Jason Morahan is the Owner of Real Space, LLC, a Duncanville-based commercial real estate company structured to offer all aspects of this industry’s services including, but not limited to, Management, Development and Brokerage.

Jason was born in Sherman, Texas and grew up just south of downtown Dallas. He earned a degree in Real Estate immediately after high school and while attending college classes went to work with Options Real Estate Investments, Inc. At Options, he began his career in the real estate industry learning the nuts and bolts of commercial real estate brokerage. At the age of 20, his passion for real estate, lead him to Isenberg Management Associates (“IMA”) where he remained for twelve and a half years.

While at IMA, Jason learned and mastered every component of commercial real estate management from the most basic principles of property maintenance to asset management and property finance. In addition to management, Jason has overseen many commercial developments including the ground-up development of a 70,000 square foot retail center in Denton, Texas and the complete rehab and retrofit of a vacant 6-story 70,000 square foot office building in Fort Worth, Texas.

Some of his most recent accomplishments with IMA include the successful negotiation and purchase of the Oak Cliff Tower (a 15-story, 252,000 square foot office landmark in Oak Cliff) and the complete redevelopment of Columbia Shopping Center in east Dallas, formerly a 40,000 square foot abandoned grocery store. This abandoned center was converted into a multi-tenant retail shopping center and an additional 9500 square foot building was designed and constructed on the out parcel. With Jason’s leadership, the new out-parcel building was 100% pre-leased prior to breaking ground.

Jason is also an investment partner with notable leaders in the industry. His real estate holdings are considerable and have continued to increase over the years. Additionally, Jason has been very actively involved in community, having served over 4 years on the Executive Committee of the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce and currently on the Board of Directors for the Oak Cliff Foundation. Further. Jason graduated the Leadership Southwest Program in 1999. Immediately, after that, Jason served on the Board of Directors for the Leadership program.

Currently with the Oak Cliff Foundation, Jason is heading up the construction and renovation of the Texas Theatre. This is the final stage of a multi-million dollar renovation for a live performance center and a community meeting facility on Jefferson Boulevard, in Oak Cliff. With Jason’s help, the Foundation has raised over 3 million dollars in both public and private funds to complete this project.

With his extensive experience and knowledge of the commercial real estate industry, Jason Morahan formed his own company, Real Space, LLC offering all aspects of commercial real estate services. During his tenure with Options Real Estate Investments, Inc. and Isenberg Management Associates, Jason established enduring relationships with vendors, bankers and other industry associates and leaders. The transition from an employee to a business owner is easily accomplished with the depth of contacts and relationships he has sustained.
